Admission to RMS

You must know one thing before seeking admission to Rashtriya Military Schools, the school gives admission to class 6 and class 9 only. For admission, RMS takes a Common Entrance Test. The CET written examination will be fully Automated through Optical Mark Reader (OMR) based examination.
RMS prepares students to impart quality education and prepares the cadets to join the Defence Services. This is the reason that the school has set such high bars for students to get final admission to the school.

Eligibility

Only boys aged between 10-12 years as of 31 March 2021 for admission to class 6.
Boys aged between 13-15 years as of 31 March 2021 for admission to Class 9. Six months of relaxation in the upper age limit is permissible for students of personnel Killed in Action.
For admission to Class 6, no previous education qualification is mandatory. But, for admission to Class 9, you should have passed Class 8 from a government/recognized school before the date of admission to a Rashtriya Military School.

RMS Entrance Examination

RMS Entrance Exam comprises three steps: The first stepping stone is the written exam, the next is the interview, and the final selection is done on the basis of a medical test.
The written exam for class 6th will have subjects like English, Intelligence Test, Mathematics, General Knowledge, and Current Affairs.
The written exam for class 9th will have subjects like English, Hindi, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science.
